Krecsy Reunion July 11th-13th, 2025

If any descendant families are interested in attending, the general plan of how I’ve set up the reunion is as follows:
Date: 11th, 12th and 13th of July 2025
Place: Edmonton
The schedule will be:
Friday 11 July; meet and greet for supper at our house.
Saturday 12 July; - main event for lunch at a local hall for all attendees with a bit of a program.
- supper at our house.
Sunday 13 July: breakfast at our house.
There are plenty of things to do and enjoy in and around Edmonton and families can choose to attend all or just one or two of the reunion activities. We’ve found that the families, especially those with small children, enjoy the reunion more if they don’t feel committed to attend everything.
We will split all meal costs with whatever meals families attend. Each family will be charged only for the meals and the number of family members that attend each meal. Children 11 years and under are not included in the cost to families.
Additional info posted on 2 July:
I've had a great response to our reunion this year and we will have almost 40 people for the main lunch on Saturday with slightly fewer numbers for the other meals.
The theme of the meals Suzan will prepare this year will be based on food items from around the Mediterranean Sea.
Here's a sample of the menu:
Friday 11 July supper: Caprese Salad Skewers
Charcuterie and cheese plates, Bruschetta, Foccacia bread and baguette, Olive tapenade, humus.
Saturday breakfast (9 - 10 am): Egg bites, Ham and egg cups, fresh fruit platter, yogurt and juice.
Saturday Lunch 1:00 pm- Lasagne, Pasta fagioli (fazool) which is vegetarian, Greek lemon chicken & potatoes, Greek Salad, Ceasar Salad, Italian Sodas, Gelato, juice
Saturday supper 6:ish: White Castle sliders, salads, etc.
Sunday breakfast 9:00 am: Fresh baked croissants w/home made jam, fruit, yoqurt, juice, crustless quiche, salsa.
There have been requests from some of you asking if you can bring something to contribute to the meals. Although not expected from anyone, if you want to contribute, please bring one or more of your favourite desserts and or snacks for everyone to enjoy.
For those that won't be joining us until lunch on Saturday, lunch will not be at our house but held at 30-50 Bellerose Drive in St. Albert. Just look for the blue Careadon Village sign and turn in there. You will see a building with multiple garage doors and the parking lot where you can park. We will be in the meeting room upstairs at the St. Albert Food Bank.
